How to make Instagram Reels for your brand with motion graphics

Kario Team · October 24, 2026 · 2 min read

Kario makes Reels the way it makes any video: from a brief, as layers you can edit, at 9:16. Your type, colours and app screens carry the video, so it reads with the sound off and looks like your brand from the first frame.

The video above, "Attention is expensive", is a 27-second vertical explainer made in Kario.

Two Reels made in Kario

Attention is expensive. Problem, then fix. A gauge and icons show what going without video costs a team, then chips stack up one step at a time to show the new way of working, and it ends on the logo.

Revolut — Your way in. One feature per beat. A phone walks through a tap-to-pay payment, a currency exchange and a money transfer under a repeating headline, each ending on its confirmation screen, then the cards fan out into the wider product.

Both are presets: pick one and Kario rebuilds it around your product, keeping its structure and timing.

What to send

  • The first line on screen, in quotes. It's what someone reads before deciding to keep watching.
  • One idea. One feature, one problem and its fix, or one number. Three ideas make three Reels.
  • Your site, or your colours and type on the Brand page, so the video is in your brand.
  • Sound. Music and sound effects come from Kario's royalty-free library. For narration, describe the voice or attach your own recording, and the animation is timed to each word. The words on screen still carry it for anyone watching muted.
  • Other shapes. Ask for 4:5 or 1:1 for the feed, or 16:9 for YouTube, and each comes as a board in the same project.

What Instagram shows less of

Instagram says it shows Reels that are mostly text, muted, bordered or watermarked less widely (Instagram). So put the product on screen with the words, keep the sound, and make it at 9:16 rather than a letterboxed 16:9.

Instagram's buttons

The caption, your username and the like, comment and share buttons sit along the bottom and the right edge of a Reel. Meta's guide for Reels ads says to keep the top 14%, the bottom 35% and 6% on each side free of text and logos (Meta). Kario checks the frame against those areas and keeps text and products clear of them.
